Being a teacher is never easy, however it is also one of the most rewarding jobs ever, and I have been teaching for over fifteen years now, and it is so amazing to meet students that I taught who are now teachers in their own walks of life.
I recently moved to a new space which means that I had to switch my college. It was one of the hardest choices that I have ever had to make. I had worked at our previous university for fourteen years, and the university that I am teaching at now is quite a bit smaller than the other university. I actually have always believed that there are pros and cons to both, because the university is so much more petite, I have gotten to recognize a lot more students from other classes and grades which is extremely nice. It also feels a little more laid back at this university. One of the things that I have always thought to be a negative is the fact that I cannot adjust the thermostat in our classroom because there is no thermostat in our classroom. In the other university that I taught at, each classroom had its very own thermostat. It was actually nice to be able to adjust the temperature in my classroom. I did not realize how good I had it until I moved to the university I am at currently. There is a thermostat in the hallway that controls the temperature for all of the classrooms in the space of the university that I am in. I have been told by fellow teachers that only the principal is allowed to adjust the thermostat. I am starting to miss having individual thermostats.
