I’m starting to get convinced that the best way to watch and enjoy film is from the comfort of my home.

I have just about had it with going to the theater these days, and I know I’m not the only one! Ticket prices are ridiculously costly, and the concession stand is just ridiculous. Who pays six dollars for popcorn? Besides, the theaters themselves aren’t even all that comfortable. In my experience, they are either freezing cold, or extremely hot – there is no middle ground. There certainly is no excuse for that, considering how much we pay to see a film! Seriously, I do not understand what they are doing with their temperature control unit. Why do the temperatures vary so widely based on the theater that you attend, anyway? Maybe a few theaters in the entire place have the ideal temperature for some reason, but I’ve yet to find those movie theaters. I’m starting to get convinced that the best way to watch and enjoy film is from the comfort of my home. Here, I can set the temperature on the thermostat to whatever I please! I can wait a little longer for films to become available on streaming services anyway – and some streaming services have begun to introduce watch-from-home releases, anyway! Maybe it’s time for me to invest in a nice home theater then, isn’t it? I can sit on my couch while my own air conditioning or heating unit runs to keep me cool and comfortable. With the savings I’ll see by avoiding the theater, I’m sure setting up a home theater would pay for itself in time. I will always be comfortable too, so that I can properly watch and enjoy the film. I’ve pretty much convinced myself to save up for a home theater now!
