My father thinks I have restless legs, and my mother thinks I have wanderlust. All I know is that I couldn’t stay in one place too long. I don’t mean in an ADD or ADHD sort of way. I wasn’t fidgety or uneasy and I did well at university. I just hated being cooped up, whether in a classroom or my little bedroom. I wanted to get out and see the world, or as much of it as I could in one lifetime… That is why I purchased an RV the first opportunity I got.
Now I cruise the highways as I please, enjoying temperature control and enjoyable tunes as I see the sights. To be honest, this all would not be nearly as fun without the air conditioning in the vehicle. I tried walking, hitchhiking, and riding a bicycle before, but with no cooling system I just got sweaty and tired and had no fun. I don’t have the world’s biggest or finest RV, but it suits my needs well enough, with an air vent in the ceiling and a box style AC machine mounted in the back window.
I never claimed I had central AC in the camper, but wouldn’t that have been perfect! The window mounted air conditioner is strong enough to cool down the entire vehicle, so it’s great enough for me. One of these days I might upgrade to a nicer RV, but it doesn’t actually matter to me as long as I have music, a cooling system, and the open road in front of me.
