When cash gets tight, I assume I know how to cut back on both the sizable things in addition to the little things. I have to feed myself, of course, but if need be I can consistently survive on Raman noodles or squash soup. I must to go to work, of course, but if I need to I can take the bus, and it is free, in addition to saving that cash on gas and parking. Around my home expenses are a little bit harder to deal with for me due to the fact that when I am in my apartment I love to be comfortable. I can view cable on my laptop computer, I can take chilly showers instead of hot ones. But it is certainly strenuous for myself and others to cut back on the air conditioner. My central HVAC is one of my favorite functions of being at home, even if it isn’t unholy hot outside! Coming home from a long day, kicking on the AC unit, in addition to planting myself under one of the air vents is always a high point of any day! I don’t run the Heating, Ventilation and A/C when I am out of the house. But the energy bills are getting a bit steep so I needed another way to whack it back! Someone told myself and others to try closing off all the air vents within my home except for the one room, and then to to stay in that one room! This made plenty of sense to me. After all if I am not using the AC in most of the house so, my yearly bill ought to plummet. It turns out the utility bill only dropped by less than 10%, so the air vent idea did not work out as I wanted.
