There are times when I wonder if I would do a whole lot better at staying in a fitness routine if I had a gym in my property. I usually put off going on jogs when the weather wasn’t all that nice because I don’t like battling the heat or the frigid temperatures if I don’t have to! This is why I have been seriously thinking about converting my spare room into a gym. If I were able to put a treadmill and some weights in there, I would be able to get the air conditioning equipment running before a hefty workout on a sizzling afternoon. This would keep me from having to battle the heat. If it were freezing cold, I could just make modifications to the temperature control and get the heating equipment running. This is all that I would need to keep myself fit throughout the year. Heart disease runs on both sides of my family, so I try my best to be moderately health-conscious. I want to be in a regular routine where I run 3-4 times per week no matter what. I personally believe this would be enough to maintain a healthy weight and just feel good. I never realized how much the weather could affect someone’s willingness to get a good workout in. I believe I should have thought about making my extra room into a gym long ago… Being able to adjust the temperature control before lacing up for a run is certainly all that I need to keep myself motivated and willing to work up a sweat. I’m definitely happy that I have the extra room and the Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment that I need! I hope to lose 10 pounds over the next few weeks, and I believe this could be the way to do it.
