I am a proud mother of two, and my children couldn’t possibly be more different from each other. My little boy, Cooper, is always running all over and playing games with all of his friends. It’s rare that he comes home without a coat of sweat, mud, and grass stains spanning his skin and clothes. My own daughter, Grace, is a junior in secondary school. She is reserved, and she sticks to her room mostly. When my husband and I settled inside the house, we didn’t mind that it was older and had absolutely no air conditioning. We live in a mild area of the country. The temperature is rarely so cold or hot that extreme measures need to be taken to become convenient. Lately, Grace and Cooper have been complaining about their room environments. Grace is always cold together with being tucked under multiple blankets, while Cooper constantly has fans going all of the time. My husband and I decided it was probably about time we install some sort of HVAC system, but we didn’t want to be wasting energy by having air running everywhere in the house. We called a local HVAC contractor that provided us an estimate. We were able to have air ducts installed in the different bedrooms that allowed for all of us to control the temperature of our own rooms without affecting the rest of the house. It’s nice to have a break from the relentless complaining! But we did more than just satisfy the needs of our family, but we also bought something that updates and raises the overall value of our home.
